1. Wich elements from cyberpunk inspires you?

Llusion ( create a Illusion from the future) and Omnipotence, like a wizard using electronic devices.

Have you ever felt like the real world has been updated since you touched a cyberpunk movie?

It’s not «a place that doesn’t belong to this world», like fantasy. The world of cyberpunk works like «a different place in the same world» (Ex. Chiba City appearing in Neuromancer)

I am attracted to one of the many future possibilities of such works.

2. Wich cyberpunk work’s are you favorite? (tell us you favorite manga’s, films, books)

Film: Matrix, Blade Runner2049, Minority Report, I,Robot, TRON

Anime: Ghost in the sell, AKIRA, Evangelion

Manga: Ghost in the sell, AKIRA, AirGear,

Novels: Philip K. Dick novels.

3. How do you define your style?

Night. Neon. Dirty structure. Overlooking from a high point.

I prefer to use a composition like a Kubrick-like one-point perspective.

I am attracted to the inorganic structures, I just hold the camera and observe.  Residential areas such as city landmarks, iconic buildings and apartments, and the back alley that people living there have forgotten. Neon lighting such a place.

I wander around the city in the night like worms in search of light.

Noche, neones, estructuras sucias.

4. Explaine Us other things that inspire your style.

I recently went to Taiwan and Beijing. «Cyberpunk Asian» lost in Japan is there.

Japan expressed in old SF novel / films. It’s like buying and selling high-technology underground. They don’t exist in Japan anymore.

The world that I was chasing and trying to create remains in Asia. But that would be a few decades away.

I would like to see such places with my own eyes, touch them with my hands, feel them with my five senses, and drop them into my work.

5. What do you want to express with your art?

I wanted to see «a world like no one has ever seen» and started making works.

Even a familiar world can be transformed into a different world just by changing one channel.

I wanted to see «a world I never saw» and started making works. Even a familiar world can be transformed into a different world just by changing one channel.

The world of science fiction that the ancestors envisioned is no longer embodied in this world. That’s why I think it would be possible to create textures that recall them and overwrite people’s awareness.

6. What do you like to do with your work that you haven’t done at the moment?

I’m wondering if I can drop the screen elements and colors that I have cultivated through my Instagram feed into videos.

I studied film during my college days. At work, I make video.

In the future, I want to make science fiction films in Kobe and to start making a series called «STAND A1_ONE».

The next goal is to create SF video content based on these.

7. You are from Kobe prefecture. In the past, Kobe was the place for some of the most legendary tradicional yakuza families. In cyberpunk universe, yakuza characters are one of the caracteristic ingredients from this subgenre. Some corporations are japanese Zaibatsu, some of them old yakuza clans in a future.

Do you think this could influence your work? And if it is,

How yakuza tradition influence your work?

Ha ha ha. The Yakuza is now an imaginative profession for ordinary people, just like ninjas and samurais.

Uncles may be police officers who crack down on yakuza in Kobe, and in a news etc., there may be news that the conflict of the team members.

But in everyday of my life, I never feel yakuza.

Kabukicho in Tokyo feels more like yakuza.

It may have an influence on one’s work from now on by having been told some other time. I did not notice the peculiarities of my city.

(Risas).

8. If you can choose to do a time travel, where do you want to go? And when?

I am not interested in going to check the history that has already been decided. Even if you know the truth, your fancy will be transformed into reality. I think that fact is cheap. (Even if it was a reality that actually happened in the past)

In that sense, I would like to go somewhere in the future where measurement can not be done like «The Time Machine» by HG Wells. I want to go to a time axis that I did not intend by leaving by chance to go to any point.

I would like to see the moment of dying objectively. I like to see how would my own death be, without evading that moment.

At the moment of subjective observation of death, one’s consciousness disappears and disappears. I felt that it was lonely that I could not die for a while.

9. Can you explain us how you see the cultural movement from Kobe?

And wich diferents you find now that you live in Tokyo?

Kobe is a regional city.

Kobe was struck by the earthquake in 1995. The city collapsed and most of the old life was turned into a pile of rubble. Twenty-four years have passed, there are almost no marks of earthquake disaster in the city.

The culture that would have remained was rewritten as it was convenient for those who led the city’s reconstruction. Instead of making a culture, it was like bringing in something from somewhere.

Because there is such a root, I think that there may be locality where new young culture can not easily be accepted as the way of this town.

Because there is such a root, I think that there may be locality where new young culture cannot easily be accepted as the way of this town.

Tokyo has a fast update rate. However, I came to think that it was the information prepared by someone who wanted to make a trend. Fashions and decays are so fast that they are consumed quickly. I do not want to ride there.

Many Japanese have a feeling that «I like it because the things currently popular now.» Among them, I noticed that «a world like no one has ever seen» is not acceptable.

10. If something lack in Tokyo, what do you want to change or propose?

I would like you to take in the interesting «Japan» exaggerated by foreigners.

«The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift» and Deadpool, Wolverine. Recently, Avengers: Endgame etc. has appeared in Japan but it is a fantasy Japan.

The ninja samurai yakuza, a Japanese-style neon signboard, etc. appear. I think that such a town does not exist because it does not exist.

The cyber punk Japanese culture will no longer be seen.

With the 2020 Olympics in mind, Japan will destroy the old world and push forward with the creation of new cities.

It is important to change, but I hope that you also want to create a cyberpunk fantasy somewhere.

11. Why do you choose photography and not other artistic expression?

I assigned myself the task of posting my work every day. If it is a movie, the work process of producing and editing takes a lot more than a photograph, so it is impossible every day. It was possible if it is a photograph.

I will post illustrations if I can draw illustrations, and I think I would have posted short stories if I could write sentences.

I want to make a film in the future. I just felt that the expression of photography can be continued every day.

It is relatively easy to create a science fiction world that you can imagine with photos. It can not be said that it is a picture.

It would be a challenge to be able to do the same in video format in the future.

12. How do you see Internet as a medium of dissemination of your work?

My work is difficult to accept in Japan. Currently the trend in Japan is film. It’s completely the opposite of what I make.

I was desperate for such an environment. However, through Instagram I started to get my work to people outside the country step by step.

Being able to give up through comments and a message is the driving force that allow you keep making. I really appreciate it.

13. Do you think Cyberpunk is now?

The definition of the word «cyberpunk» is different.

The world of distopia, the coexistence of man and machine, the sea of electronic nets. We are trying to reach 2020 different from the future we envisioned long ago. The third world war like AKIRA is prevented, and there is no sign of the disturbance by the robot so far.

Have we not come to imagine the future because we have come to such a future?

The Internet around the world, and the digital world became familiar. Mobile phones, which could only make calls, are now electronic devices with access to the world. Everybody is touching an advanced thing on the train.

Now, Isn’t this world already to a cyberpunk world?

Google may be replaced by Skynet. A man sitting next to at Starbucks may be an AI. The picture space is becoming side by side everyday.

It is felt that such a word «Cyberpunk» must be firmly defined even from such still.

One genre of retro SF is up to that point.

I would like to create a work that makes a question about the future, «Cyberpunk».

If the work that you create can be delivered to you somewhere on the planet by making full use of the electronic sea that runs around the world, that’s cyber punk.
